If he changed his domain account password, he manually has to change it on the mobile device (at least thats how email is with standard exchange active sync on most android/iphones) This will kill multiple birds with one stone. Prob best to uninstall and reinstall App + user configurtion. in fact, i would ask him (obviously politely and for troubleshooting) if you can resync the account on the phone. Next, go to his iphone and make sure hes using the most current password. Log into AD user and computers and see if his user account is locked.
